IT-Security Engineer

This role involves implementing, configuring, and managing network security solutions to ensure the stability and security of client systems, making it a critical part of their service delivery.
Role Overview:
The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure within the organization’s network. Working closely with the wider team, the successful candidate will ensure the seamless operation of advanced security solutions and contribute to the ongoing protection of client networks.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Practical experience with IT security solutions, including Firewalls, IPS, SSL, and VPNs
• Funded knowledge of Fortinet or Checkpoint security solutions
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or higher, Check Point CCSA or CCSE (preferred)
• Strong analytical, structured, and customer-focused working style
• Excellent communication skills in German and good knowledge of English
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and administer network security infrastructure, including firewalls, IPS, SSL, and VPN solutions
• Lead migration projects independently and maintain stable IT system operations for clients
• Troubleshoot network issues systematically, develop workarounds, and contribute to problem, change, and release management
• Design and optimise network and security solutions, maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations and issues
Requirements:
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Extensive practical experience with IT security solutions from Fortinet or Checkpoint
• Knowledge of Fortinet NSE 4 or higher, Check Point CCSA or CCSE certifications (advantageous)
• Fluent in German (spoken and written) with good English skills
• Eligible to work on-site in our client’s location
