SPS-Programmierer

Role Overview:
This position is central to the development, configuration, and commissioning of electrical control and automation systems. You will contribute to the standardization of control architectures and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure optimal system performance. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and safety of automation projects.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Proficiency in DE SPS Siemens WinCC, DE SPS TIA-Portal, and DE SPS Siemens S7
• Relevant experience in SPS programming and electrical design (minimum 3–5 years)
• Solid knowledge of Siemens SPS systems or similar platforms
• Experience with CAE systems, ideally EPLAN
• Ability to configure and integrate sensor technology, drive systems, and safety components
• Willingness to travel for international commissioning activities
• Strong technical analysis and structured working approach
• Fluent in German (B2/C1) and English (B1)
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, designing, and constructing electrical control and automation systems
• Creating schematics, bill of materials, and documentation (using EPLAN)
• Programming and developing control software (Siemens TIA Portal)
• Configuring and integrating sensors, drives, and safety systems
• Conducting startup and commissioning activities both at the factory and at customer sites
• Analyzing and optimizing existing control concepts
• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and supporting the service/support teams
• Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure project success
• Contributing to the standardization of control architectures and modules
Requirements:
• Valid right to work in the region
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, Technikerausbildung, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in machine or plant construction
• Experience with Siemens SPS (TIA Portal) or similar systems
• Proficient in DE SPS Siemens WinCC, TIA-Portal, and Siemens S7
• Ability to work on-site and undertake occasional international travel
• Excellent technical analysis skills and a structured approach
• Fluent German (B2/C1) and English (minimum B1)
